The process

Once you have had a consultation to ensure you are suitable for the Cosmelan peel, you will be started on the Mesoestetic Resurfacing Peel Booster which helps to remove dead skin cell and will ensure a more even peel result.

On the day of the Cosmelan peel, you will come into the clinic and the mask will be applied to your skin. The Cosmelan looks similar to a ‘mud mask’ so you will want to stay home with this on.This will stay on the skin for 8-12hrs (your nurse will let you know how long for your particular skin type) and then washed off at home with warm water.

You will be given  months’ worth of homecare products which will help you to manage the depigmentation process. You will initially experience skin swelling and redness which will calm after a couple of days and then the peeling process is generally day 3 and lasts 4-5 days with some people peeling up to 2 weeks.

You will be followed up in Clinic by our Registered Nurse and a follow-up mask applied at 1 mth post your initial peel.

The Cosmelan 2 homecare cream is to be applied morning and night for the first 3 months and then nightly from 4-7 months. This cream is applied like a serum and is important it is continued for the full 7 months to achieve best results.

The price

The price of the Cosmelan peel is $1600 which includes your pre and post care products worth over $1000, the application of the initial Cosmelan Peel and repeat peel as well as regular follow up appointments. (As always Genoapay is available for all treatments/products.)

The results

These results will continue to improve even further over the following weeks when the full benefits of a Cosmelan Peel can be seen.

How does Cosmelan work?
Cosmelan works to correct hyperpigmentation while also regulating the overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes, preventing further pigmentation. It has a powerful combination of both pigment lighteners and pigment suppressors including kojic acid, azelaic acid, phytic acid, ascorbic acid and arbutine. Because the Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment is safe for all ethnicities and skin tones, anyone seeking out a fresher, more even complexion is an ideal candidate.
