Botulinum Toxin Type A ( Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) injections are a very effective treatment to reduce lines and wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet.
All our Botulinum Toxin injections are given by our fully qualified and experienced Registered Nurse, who specialises in tailoring the strength of your treatments to your individual needs.
The treatment itself takes around 15 minutes to complete and after the treatment you can drive or head back to work immediately, no recovery period is needed.
It is an extremely safe procedure.
We offer a free follow up two weeks after your initial Botox/Xeomin treatment to ensure that the treatment meets your expectations and ours.
If necessary, a complementary tweak can be done at this appointment.

Frown Lines

Frown lines can be seen as vertical lines in between the eyebrows and are common in people who frown a lot or have been overexposed to the sun. To treat these lines, small injections are given in between and along the upper brow.

Forehead Wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles appear as horizontal lines on the forehead which are more prominent when you raise your eyebrows. To treat these, small injections are given on the forehead.

Crow's Feet

Crow's feet are found in the outer corner of the eyes. They appear more prominent when smiling or laughing. They occur as the skin becomes less elastic with age, combined with excessive sun exposure. Small injections at either side of the eyes are very effective in treating crow's feet wrinkles.

What does the treatment involve?

Botulinum Toxin injections at Renew are performed by our experienced Registered Nurse. The procedure includes a thorough consultation and consent. The whole appointment takes around 30mins. Your Nurse will ask you to pull some funny faces so she can see the muscles contract. Your face will be cleaned and prepped with antiseptic. The muscles to be treated will be marked with a removable marker. Only specific muscles are injected which allows all other muscles in your face to function as usual. The treatment itself only takes a couple of minutes to perform.

Does the treatment hurt?

Only the specific muscles that make the contraction are injected. No anaesthetic is required and you will feel only a brief sting at the injection site during the injection process. The actual injection time is very short and is normally over within a few minutes.

How long does the treatment take?

If it is your initial treatment, the consultation, photos, consent and injection time takes around 30mins. The actual injection times is very short and is normally over within a few minutes. Subsequent treatments are shorter and of course you can go straight back to work afterwards.

How soon will I see the results?

Normally we say you will see results within 3-7 days. The muscles will slowly soften and full results can be seen at 14 days. If it is your first-time having treatment, you will be asked to come back for a review at this time to check your results. If touch ups/tweaks are required, these are done at this time and made note of in your file for next time.

How long will the results last?

The effects of Botulinum Toxin last differently for every person, but most people will require a repeat treatment every 3 or so months. Results continue to look better over a period of time so repetitive treatments are recommended. If you choose to not continue with treatments your muscles will eventually return to normal activity and your wrinkles will gradually revert to their pre-treatment levels.

How much does it cost?

Both Botox and Xeomin brands are charged at $15 pr unit and Dysport at $6 pr unit. Costs will depend on how strong your muscles are. At your initial consultation, an individual assessment will enable your nurse to give you a precise cost.

Are there any side effects?

Only tiny amounts of Botulinum Toxin are used, so this treatment is not harmful. The most common side effects are temporary and localised bruising, slight redness of the skin and occasionally slight swelling at the injection site.
